The first mod is Skyrim Script Extender or SKSE. These will fix hundreds of in game bugs, improve and enhance the User Interface and allow you to avoid the in game start (which is a bit long once you have seen it once) and customise your starting position and character. There are a number of mods that I consider to be essential for any one playing Skyrim. The mods in this article are mods that I feel no-one should play Skyrim without. If you do not know what these instructions mean, or how to install mods with MO2, read the Mod Installation Advice section from the MO2 page It will automatically be added to Mod Organizer 2 upon restarting it. If you do not know what the Root folder is, read the Key Terminology section from the Initial Setup page. Make sure you are extracting all of the files inside of the skse64_2_00_20 folder, not just the folder itself.

Extract the contents of the skse64_2_00_20 folder from the downloaded archive to the game's Root folder. Make sure you are downloaded the SE version, not the Classic, Anniversary, or VR versions.
